The clinical value of Stress Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging in symptomatic patients with low to intermediate acute coronary syndrome risk
نویسندگان
چکیده
Background Stress cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) imaging has become a promising non-invasive technique that is being increasingly used to evaluate acute coronary syndrome (ACS) patients. Specifically, lowand intermediate-risk ACS patients require non-invasive imaging for risk stratification, unlike high-risk ACS patients whom may receive invasive coronary angiography (ICA) directly. This study aims to assess the diagnosis performance of stress CMR for evaluating midand low-risk ACS patients.

Relationship between Late Gadolinium Enhancement Extent in Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Severity of Coronary Artery Disease in Old Myocardial Infarction
Purpose: To assess the relationship between the severity of coronary arteries involvement and the extent and pattern of myocardial scars in Cardiac Magnetic Resonance of patients with history of remote myocardial infarction. Materials and Methods: The Cardiac Magnetic Resonance images of sixty patients with history of remote ST segment or non-ST segment elevation myocardial infarction were ...
متن کاملNoninvasive cardiac imaging.
Noninvasive cardiac imaging can be used for the diagnostic and prognostic assessment of patients with suspected or known coronary artery disease. It is central to the treatment of patients with myocardial infarction, coronary artery disease, or acute coronary syndromes with or without angina. Radionuclide cardiac imaging; echocardiography; and, increasingly, cardiac computed tomography and card...
متن کاملPrognostic value of adenosine stress cardiovascular magnetic resonance in patients with low-risk chest pain
BACKGROUND Approximately 5% of patients with an acute coronary syndrome are discharged from the emergency room with an erroneous diagnosis of non-cardiac chest pain. Highly accurate non-invasive stress imaging is valuable for assessment of low-risk chest pain patients to prevent these errors. Adenosine stress cardiovascular magnetic resonance (AS-CMR) is an imaging modality with increasing appl...
متن کاملRelationship between Neutrophil-to-lymphocyte Ratio and the Severity of Coronary Artery Disease in Patients Undergoing Cardiac Catheterization
Introduction: Neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) is considered as an independent predictor of long-term prognosis in the individual patients with coronary artery disease (CAD). This study sought to assess the relationship between NLR and CAD severity in Iranian patients undergoing cardiac catheterization.Material and Methods: This prospective study was conducted on 500 patients with acute cor...
متن کاملCardiac magnetic resonance with T2-weighted imaging improves detection of patients with acute coronary syndrome in the emergency department.
BACKGROUND Cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) imaging permits early triage of patients presenting to the emergency department with acute chest pain but has been limited by the inability to differentiate new from old myocardial infarction. Our objective was to evaluate a CMR protocol that includes T2-weighted imaging and assessment of left ventricular wall thickness in detecting patients with acut...
